Terms of Service
Effective September 2, 2026
Compress. My is operated by FileMesh, 1178 Broadway, New York, NY 10001. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Compress. My website and services ("Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Compress. My, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using our Services on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization.
2. Changes to Terms
Compress. My reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated "Effective Date." Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
3. Privacy Policy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
4. Use of Services
- You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- You agree not to violate any laws or regulations.
5. OAuth2 and Data Usage
If you connect your Google account, you acknowledge that Compress. My will use limited Drive metadata to estimate potentially eligible candidates and, only after you start a run, access the data needed to process supported files included automatically in that authorized run, up to the allowance you selected. For details, refer to our Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and intellectual property within the Services are owned by Compress. My or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without prior written permission.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Compression is lossy and results vary by file. A metadata candidate is not a guarantee that a file will become smaller. The service updates a successfully compressed file in place only after validating that the output is readable and smaller. Keep separate backups of important originals and review results. Compress. My is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by applicable law, and nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. One-time allowances and unsuccessful runs
A paid plan is a one-time processing allowance, not a storage subscription or a guaranteed amount of savings. The allowance is consumed only after at least one file is successfully replaced by a smaller validated result. If no eligible file is found, every candidate is skipped or fails, or the service fails before any successful replacement, the allowance remains available for another run. This automatic re-credit is separate from any refund right available under applicable law; contact support for billing questions.
9. Checkout, merchant of record, and refunds
Paid checkout is provided by Polar, which acts as merchant of record and handles card data, applicable sales tax or VAT, receipts, and payment and refund processing. Purchases are also subject to the Polar Terms. Refund requests can be sent to support@filemesh.io; eligibility and processing are governed by Polar's terms and applicable law. The automatic allowance preservation described above is operational account credit, not a cash refund, and does not limit statutory consumer rights.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Compress. My harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from your use of the Services.
11. Termination
Compress. My reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at its sole discretion, without notice.
12. Contact Us
